This product is a combination product containing 20mg of NEXIUM 40 mg and 40mg of LEPRAX 40 mg.
The combination of Nexium 40 mg and LEPRAX 40 mg is used to treat symptoms of heartburn and acid reflux at the same time, including stomach ulcers. It may be used along with other acid-reducing medicines such as Zantac, Zithromax, and Lidocaine (e.g., Benadryl). It is also used to help with healing and regaining strength of the stomach (including ulcers).
The Nexium 40 mg tablet is taken by mouth once a day for 7 days, with the dose taken at the same time each day. The dose is one tablet in the morning and one tablet in the evening. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.
If you have trouble swallowing capsules, ask your doctor about using a non-hormonal tablet.
